How to achieve efficient moisture-proofing of plastic packaging film

1. Material characteristics
The raw materials of many plastic packaging films have low hygroscopicity. It is difficult for water molecules to penetrate into the film, thus forming a natural barrier between the product and the external humid environment, effectively blocking the intrusion of water vapor and protecting the packaged products.
2. Optimize the film structure
Some advanced plastic packaging films adopt a multi-layer composite structure. Each layer of the film is composed of materials with different characteristics and performs its own functions. The outer layer can be made of high-strength and wear-resistant materials, the middle layer focuses on barrier properties, and the inner layer is used for direct contact with the product to ensure safety and flexibility. This multi-layer composite structure can work together to greatly improve the moisture-proof effect.
3. Add moisture-proof additives
During the production process of plastic packaging film, specific moisture-proof additives can be added. These additives can change the microstructure of the film and enhance its barrier ability to water vapor. For example, adding certain inorganic nanoparticles, which are evenly dispersed in the plastic matrix, water vapor molecules need to bypass these nanoparticles along a tortuous path when passing through the film, which greatly increases the difficulty of water vapor penetration, thereby achieving efficient moisture-proof.
4. Strict production process control
Precisely control parameters such as temperature and pressure during the production process to ensure uniform film thickness. Films with uniform thickness do not have weak points, and it is difficult for water vapor to break through uneven thickness. At the same time, the blow molding, cast film and other production processes are optimized to make the film molecules more closely arranged and orderly, further improving the film's moisture-proof performance.
5. Good sealing performance
Plastic packaging film needs to be sealed with packaging containers or other films by heat sealing and other methods. A good sealing process can ensure the overall sealing of the packaging and prevent water vapor from entering through the gaps. For example, when heat sealing, the temperature, time and pressure are controlled well to fully fuse the edges of the film to form a firm and tight sealing area, thereby achieving efficient moisture-proof packaging.
