How to Apply Marble Protective Film to a Curved Marble Column

1. Thoroughly Clean the Column Surface

After wiping, rinse with a cloth dampened with clean water. Finally, blot dry with a dry cloth to ensure the column surface is completely dry and free of impurities.
2. Precisely Cut the Film

Measure the circumference and height of the column surface, and cut the protective film to the desired curvature. Ensure smooth edges when cutting. For areas with larger curvatures, make small cuts along the edges to enhance flexibility and avoid wrinkles.
3. Heat-Assisted Shaping

Preheat the protective film using a heat gun on a low setting to soften it. During heating, maintain a uniform distance to avoid damaging the film. After softening, gently align the film with the cylindrical surface to pre-adjust the adhesive fit.
4. Step-by-Step Adhesion Techniques

Starting at the center of the top, remove a small amount of adhesive to secure the starting point. Use a scraper to slowly push along the curvature, applying even pressure and following the curve to completely expel any air from beneath the film.
5. Carefully Prepare the Edges

After applying, inspect the edges for a tight fit. Use a scraper and low-temperature heating to press any raised areas firmly. Finally, wrap the scraper with a soft cloth and repeatedly press the edges to eliminate bubbles and warping.
