Stainless Steel Mirror Protection Film Installation Guide
1. Preparation
- Gather necessary tools: clean soft cloth, dust removal stickers, scraper cards
- Ensure all tools are free from stains and impurities
- Work in a well-ventilated, dust-free environment
- Verify protective film size matches the stainless steel mirror
- Confirm full coverage of the area needing protection
2. Surface Cleaning
- Dampen soft cloth with clean water or specialized cleaner
- Gently wipe stainless steel surface to remove oil, dust, and stains
- Apply slightly more pressure for stubborn stains (avoid hard cloths)
- Dry surface thoroughly with clean cloth
- Ensure no moisture remains to prevent bubbles or poor adhesion
Note: Never use abrasive cleaners that might scratch the mirror surface.
3. Alignment & Application
- Gently peel back a corner of the protective film's release layer
- Avoid touching the adhesive surface with fingers
- Align film edge precisely with mirror edge
- Pay special attention to special shapes or holes
- Initially adhere the peeled section to mirror surface
- Gradually remove remaining release layer while applying
- Use scraper card to smooth from center outward
4. Post-Application Troubleshooting
- For bubbles: push air outward using scraper card
- Small bubbles may disappear with gentle pressure
- For trapped dust: lift film slightly and use dust removal sticker
- Check all edges for complete adhesion
- Resecure any lifted edges with firm scraping motions
Tip: Work slowly and methodically for best results.
