How to store Aluminum Protective Film

1. Environmental selection
Suitable temperature: The ideal storage temperature range is between 15℃-25℃. If the temperature is too high, such as over 35℃, the glue of the protective film may soften, resulting in changes in viscosity, and problems such as loose adhesion or residual glue in subsequent use; if the temperature is too low, below 5℃, the protective film material may become brittle, reduce flexibility, and easily break during transportation and use.
Humidity control: The relative humidity should be maintained at 40%-60%. If the humidity is too high, exceeding 70%, the protective film is prone to moisture, especially for products with paper packaging, moisture may penetrate into the interior, affecting the performance of the protective film, causing it to degumming, mold, etc.; if the humidity is too low, below 30%, the environment is too dry, the protective film may absorb dust due to static electricity accumulation, and the material becomes dry and brittle, affecting the use effect.
Avoid direct sunlight: Ultraviolet rays in sunlight will accelerate the aging of the protective film, causing it to turn yellow, become brittle, and lose viscosity. Therefore, the Aluminum protective film should be stored in a light-proof warehouse or indoor space to avoid direct sunlight through windows or other openings. If sunlight cannot be avoided, blackout curtains, sun visors, etc. can be used to block the sunlight.
2. Packaging maintenance
Keep the original packaging intact: Aluminum protective film is usually tightly packaged when purchased, such as plastic film wrapping, paper box packaging, etc. During storage, try not to damage the original packaging, which can provide basic protection and block dust, water vapor and foreign matter. If the original packaging is damaged, it should be repackaged with similar materials in time.
Sealed storage: For Aluminum protective film that has been opened but not used up, sealing measures must be taken. You can seal the opening with tape or put it in a sealed plastic bag to prevent air and dust from entering and maintain the cleanliness and performance of the protective film.
3. Placement method
Horizontal placement: Stack the Aluminum protective film horizontally on a shelf or pallet to avoid tilting or vertical placement. Horizontal placement can make the protective film evenly stressed, prevent deformation and curling due to gravity, and facilitate access and management.
Avoid heavy pressure: Do not stack heavy objects on top of the protective film. Heavy pressure may cause scratches and deformation on the surface of the protective film, affecting the quality. The stacking height of each layer should not be too high. The appropriate height should be determined according to the thickness and material of the protective film, generally not exceeding 1 meter.
