Aluminum Plate Protective Film Packaging and Storage Life
The packaging method of aluminum plate protective film will significantly affect its storage life. Reasonable packaging can delay material aging and reduce performance loss, while improper packaging may accelerate failure.
Sealing Performance
From the perspective of sealing performance, protective films sealed with vacuum packaging or aluminum foil composite bags can effectively isolate air and moisture, prevent the adhesive layer from becoming viscous due to contact with moisture, or the substrate from becoming yellow and brittle due to oxidation. This type of packaging is particularly suitable for long-term storage (more than 6 months), which can extend the storage life to 18-24 months.
If ordinary PE bags are used for loose packaging, the film body is easy to absorb moisture in the air. In high temperature and high humidity environments (such as the rainy season in the south), problems such as condensation of the adhesive layer and uneven viscosity may occur in 3-6 months.
Protective Structure
The protective structure of the packaging is also crucial. If the roll protective film is supported by a cardboard core and wrapped with a buffer bubble film on the outer layer, it can reduce the extrusion deformation during storage and stacking, and avoid wrinkles or glue transfer of the film due to long-term stress; while the unsupported loose roll may cause the roll to collapse during stacking, resulting in local film adhesion under pressure, shortening the service life.
In addition, although the easy-to-tear packaging with cutouts is convenient for use, repeated opening and closing will cause the internal film to frequently contact dust and moisture, and the storage life may be shortened by more than 30% compared with sealed packaging.
Packaging Labels
The standardization of packaging labels also affects storage management. Packages clearly marked with "storage away from light" and "temperature ≤30℃" can guide users to avoid adverse conditions such as high temperature and exposure; if the packaging has no protective reminders, the film may be aged faster due to incorrect storage (such as open-air stacking), and the product that can be stored for 1 year may fail in performance in 3-6 months.
In summary, the sealing, protective structure and storage instructions of the packaging jointly determine the storage life of the aluminum plate protective film. Choosing an appropriate packaging method is the key to extending its effective use period.
